SEVENDUST Drummer: DEZ FAFARA Is Not Important To Society
January 30, 2004SEVENDUST drummer Morgan Rose recently spoke to Tacoma, Washington's The News Tribune about his much-publicized "feud" with ex-COAL CHAMBER (and current DEVILDRIVER) frontman Dez Fafara. Asked what started the feud, Rose said, "It's been pretty humorous, actually, because to be honest he's not really someone who's important to society. So it's not like I'm talking about anyone that many people really know about. COAL CHAMBER was a really popular band. Now they're not a band anymore, and my wife (bassist Rayna Foss) was probably the most popular member. The irony of this whole thing was I didn't want to give him any press. ... It was laid out on a press release that I kind of got tricked into. I wanted it to be a more universal song. A lot of people have people they don't like, that treat people that they care about with no respect. (My wife is) the reason I was mad at him in the first place. He treated her awful, while she was pregnant with my daughter inside of her. He was completely stressing her out and making her upset." [Read more.]
